Douglas Ward is a Southeast multifamily operator with more than two decades of experience developing and building multifamily communities — spanning new construction and rehabilitation across affordable housing, senior living, and market-rate multifamily.
Before founding TrueHaven, Douglas held senior construction, development, and project management roles at leading multifamily firms operating across the Southeast, including Wingate Management, Resia, Capstone Building Corp, Columbia Ventures, and Agile Construction. His career has spanned the full development cycle — site acquisition, entitlement, financing, design coordination, construction management, and lease-up — with a particular depth in the construction phase where most deals are made or lost.
Born and raised in the Atlanta metro area, Douglas founded TrueHaven because the work matters to him. After two decades of delivering multifamily communities across the Southeast, he became convinced that the affordable housing shortage in Georgia deserves operators willing to bring their full construction and development capability to the problem — not developers treating affordable as a side market. TrueHaven is his answer: a platform built to create homes that transform the communities they serve and the families who live in them.
